RON SEXSMITH IN CONCERT

Ron Sexsmith is a major contemporary writer and artist who has amassed a sizeable and consistently enthralling body of work since his major label self-titled debut in 1995. He has also amassed a sizeable number of famous admirers, including Elvis Costello, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Steve Earle, Chris Martin, Sheryl Crow and Feist, many of whom have covered Sexsmith's songs. His song "Secret Heart" was covered by Rod Stewart, Feist and Nick Low, while Coldplay's Chris Martin lent vocals to his song "Gold in them Hills", more recently a version of "Whatever It Takes" appeared on Michael Buble's album Crazy Love.

Ron's body of work encompasses 11 albums each with its own particular character but connected to the others by the overarching intelligence, impeccable tast and understated emotionality of this single-minded voice in the pop-cultural wilderness. As one new fan put it in a comment on iTunes, Sexsmith's music "wins you over with a silk punch". Sexsmith is touring to support his 12th album release, making it a solid dozen; Long Player Late Bloomer will be released in North America on Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 and in the UK and Europe on Monday, February 28th, 2011.
