With Jay Robinson (musician) and Guest Speaker(S) TBA. "Dirt! The Movie" is an insightful and timely film that tells the story of the glorious and unappreciated material beneath our feet. Inspired by William Bryant Logan's acclaimed book Dirt:

The Ecstatic Skin of the Earth, Dirt! the Movie takes a humorous and substantial look into the history and current state of the living organic matter that we come from and will later return to.

Dirt! The Movie will make you want to get dirty! For more information go to http://www.dirtthemovie.org

In an interview this morning on 97.7 The Beach FM with host Kevin MacDonald, Greg Keelor reveals that this intimate acoustic show is one of only two that he and Travis Good are doing in Ontario, with one of the shows having already played in Peterborough earlier this month.    At the Peterborough performance, a surprise appearance was made by iconic Canadian actor Gordon Pinsent, who joined Greg & Travis on-stage to recite some of his own song lyrics.

Greg Keelor & Travis Good are currently working on an album, putting music to the poetry and song lyrics of Mr. Pinsent.  Greg says with regard to the Collingwood show, “we will try to get Gordon out”.  When asked what we can expect to see at The Gayety Theatre, he says:  “we’ll do some of the new songs we’ve been working on and play lots of the traditional stuff too”.  The audience can expect to hear some of the classic Keelor-written Blue Rodeo hits such as “Lost Together”, “It Hasn’t Hit Me Yet”, “Rose Coloured Glasses”, and be treated to some new music and some of the best guitar playing Canada has to offer via Travis Good.  Local singer-songwriter Romney Getty opens.

Blue Rodeo has received 7 Juno Awards over the years, a star on Canada’s Walk Of Fame and countless top 10 radio hits.  Don’t miss this opportunity to see these highly acclaimed artists at  an intimate venue; The Historic Gayety Theatre, 161 Hurontario Street (downtown Collingwood).  Saturday, April 2nd, doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8:00pm.
